The Pirates optioned struggling rookie Tyler Glasnow and reliever Dovydas Neverauskas to Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday.

While trying to figure out the back end of their bullpen, the Pirates made a move to address their relief corps on Thursday, recalling right-hander Dovydas Neverauskas and optioning righty Johnny Barbato to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Dovydas Neverauskas...Became the first player to be signed directly out of the country of Lithuania after being signed by Pirates scout Tom Randolph in 2009...Will look to join Joe Zapustas of the Philadelphia A's in 1933 as the only Lithuanian-born players to reach the Majors...His father, Virmidas, promotes baseball to Lithuanian children and coaches a handful of national, club and Little League teams...Attended the 2008 and 2009 MLB European baseball camps in Italy.

2016
