Patrick James Light...Is a 2009 graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in Middletown, NJ...Went 14-14 with a 3.84 ERA (234.1ip/100er) in three seasons at Monmouth University and became the highest draft pick in school history...Set single-season records as a junior in 2012 with 102 strikeouts and 101.1 innings pitched en route to being named the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association Pitcher-of-the-Year.

2016

Was a member of Boston's 40-man roster in spring training...Began season with Triple-A Pawtucket...Made five appearances (6.2ip/3er) before being recalled by Boston on 4/24...Made Major League debut on 4/26 at Atlanta and surrendered two runs in 1.0ip...Was optioned back to Pawtucket on 4/29...Suffered lone loss on 5/6 vs. Rochester...
