Pirates Minor Leaguer Clemens Suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League right-handed pitcher Michael Clemens has received a 68-game suspension without pay for his possession and use of human Growth Hormone (hGH) in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The suspension of Clemens, who is currently on the roster of Rookie-level Bristol (VA) of the Appalachian League, is effective immediately.
