Pirates Homestand Highlights Monday, August 18 - August 20, 2014

The Pirates return to PNC Park for a three-game homestand to host the Atlanta Braves. This homestand will be highlighted by a Paint Monkey night on Monday, August 18; Youth Baseball Night on Tuesday, August 19 and a visit by USA Gymnastics on Wednesday, August 20.

Monday, August 18, 2014 - Pirates vs. Atlanta Braves (7:05 p.m.)
• Bert's Family: Today the Pirates welcome Conor McManus and his family to PNC Park in partnership with "Bert's Big Adventure." Established in 2002, Bert's Big Adventure is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses, and their families. To qualify for Bert's Big Adventure, children must be between the ages of five and 12, live in "The Bert Show" radio listening area (ATL), prove financial need and have never been to Walt Disney World. Conor is a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, so as part of his adventure he also was surprised with a trip to Pittsburgh. During the day Conor and his family will tour PNC Park, watch Pirates batting practice from the home dugout and later return to the field as Conor throws tonight's game time first pitch.
• Paint Monkey: Join the Pirates as they partner with Paint Monkey to create a Pirates masterpiece. Enjoy a pregame painting session (canvases are pre-sketched) on the Pirates deck and stay for the game afterwards. Collect all four paintings! Prices start at $50 per date and include a space in one painting class and one seat to the game. Save by purchasing all 4 lessons at once at $180 includes one space in all 4 painting classes and one seat to the each of the Paint Monkey games (May 5 vs. Giants, June 9 vs. Cubs, July 21 vs. Dodgers, and August 18 vs. Braves). • Mayor's Cup Championship: Tonight in a pre-game on-field ceremony the Pirates will recognize the Pony, Colt & Super Colt Champions and runners up of the 2014 Mayor's Cup that was held at PNC Park on July 29.
• You Score as Bucs Score: Thanks to the fan-value "You Score as the Bucs Score" promotion select tickets for today's game were placed on sale for as low as $17. During the weekday series at San Francisco from July 28-30, the Pirates scored a total of 13 runs and as part of the promotion, the club discounted select tickets for today's game $1 for every run scored. Tuesday, August 19, 2014 - Pirates vs. Atlanta Braves (7:05 p.m.)
• Lunchtime with Lunchbox: Today from noon to 1 p.m. Pirates outfielder Travis Snider will meet with fans and sign autographs at the Holiday Center T-Mobile (3747 William Penn Hwy Monroeville, PA 15146).
• All You Can Tweet Night: Tonight the Pirates will welcome two fans to sit with our celebrity guest, Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, as the group will take over the play-by-play game calls for the Pirates official Twitter account. The guests will watch BP from the field and get a VIP tour of the ballpark that includes a food sampling courtesy of Aramark before they settle in to their seat for the game in the BucSocial Suite.
• Pittsburgh RBI Night: Tonight the Pirates will host a special end-of-season picnic for the Pittsburgh RBI (Reviving Baseball in the Inner Cities). The Pirates distributed 500 tickets to coaches, players and families of the Pittsburgh RBI for tonight's game and the evening will include a gathering in the PNC Picnic Park area. The night will also include a special on-field check presentation as Pirates Charities will contribute $100,000 to the area RBI.
• Youth Baseball Night: Tonight the Pirates would like to welcome youth baseball teams on Youth and Travel Team Appreciation Night. Teams will receive a special ticket offer and players that attend the game in their jerseys can stay after the game to run the bases. Tickets are available for the evening for as low as $10 each at pirates.com/youthbaseball.
• Pups in the Park: Fans can enjoy Bucco baseball with their pooch as the Pirates present Pup Nights at PNC Park. Each ticket package (1 person & 1 dog) costs just $28 with additional human tickets available for $28 each. • VIP Day: Pirates and Pirates Charities Chairman Bob Nutting will host a VIP (Very Important Pirate) Party for Beverly's Birthdays. Beverly's Birthdays is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing birthday celebrations for homeless children living in shelters in the Pittsburgh region. The group will be special guests of Mr. Nutting and will have the opportunity to enjoy the afternoon's game from the Pirates Charities Suite. Mr. Nutting will host a VIP Party each month during the season in order to provide deserving children with a night at the ballpark in true VIP-style, complete with a private meet-and-greet with Pirates players and coaches, a Pirates replica jersey and VIP goodie bag for each child. There will also be an opportunity to participate in a pregame ceremony and enjoy a great ballpark menu items provided by Levy Restaurants through their Levy Cares program

Wednesday, August 20, 2014 - Pirates vs. Atlanta Braves (7:05 p.m.)
• Walkers Visit: Today from noon to 1 p.m., Pirates second baseman Neil Walker and his wife Niki will visit Animal & Friends Shelter (562 Camp Horne Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237). Neil will meet with fans throughout the visit and fans will receive a special autographed token for every donation made during the Walker's visit (cash or in-kind) to Animal Friends. The Walkers will also present a check to Animal Friends, on behalf of Pirates Charities. Funds for the donation were raised through the Pirates Charities Golf Classic, where Neil was an honorary chair.
• Gymnastics at the Park: Tonight the Pirates will welcome USA Gymnastics and Olympic medalist Nastia Liukin to PNC Park to throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Liukin, who won five medals in the 2008 Summer Olympics, will meet with fans before tonight's game and there will be a USA Gymnastics demonstration on Federal Street beginning at 5:30 p.m. Also, courtesy of Highmark, fans will have the opportunity to take a photo with the 1984 Olympic torch from the Los Angeles, California games.

• Lady Bucs Night: Tonight is the final Lady Bucs Club Party of 2014. Military Ticket Discount
The Pirates are proud to team up with GovX.com to offer discounted tickets to active-duty, reserve, veteran, and retired service members and their families. All season long military members are invited to save up to $10 per ticket on select seats at PNC Park. Tickets are available now at pirates.com/military and a valid active-duty, reserve, retired, dependent or DOD employee ID card is required for ticket window purchases.

College Student Discount
For select games during the 2014 season, students with a valid college email address will receive a special discount off the advance ticket price of select games. To receive the code, college students may simply fill out the form at pirates.com/student. Each code is valid for up to fourteen tickets.

Dynamic Pricing Section
The Pirates popular dynamic pricing system is back in 2014 and includes both the Bleacher Reserve and Upper Bleacher Reserve sections of PNC Park. Tickets for the 2,400 located in left field, are all on sale NOW for the remainder of the season. The initial ticket price will then be adjusted- both lower and higher- in real time, based on several factors.
