PITTSBURGH -- The Pirates won an eighth-inning challenge Thursday against the Marlins, overturning a call at first base.
Travis Snider was originally called out on a grounder he hit to shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria, who made a nice spin and throw for a close play at first. However, after manager Clint Hurdle asked the umpires to look at the play, Snider was ruled safe.
The Marlins made a pitching change after the reversed call and Chris Hatcher was able to get the final out of the inning, keeping the score at 7-0 Pirates.
