Marte accompanied the club here from San Francisco, then detoured to Pittsburgh, delaying his first rehab game until Saturday.
According to manager Clint Hurdle, Marte is due to have four at-bats on Saturday, play a full nine innings in left field each of the next two games, then serve as the DH on Tuesday.
"Then we'll re-evaluate where he is," Hurdle said.
Marte wound up on the concussion list five days after taking a fastball on the helmet from Colorado right-hander Adam Ottavino on July 18, in the first game coming out of the All-Star break.
