Right-hander Tyler Glasnow, the Pirates' No. 3 prospect, threw six shutout innings Thursday as Class A advanced Bradenton defeated Jupiter, 1-0. It was his fourth consecutive victory and scoreless outing.

Glasnow, ranked No. 23 on MLBPipeline.com's Top 100 Prospects list, struck out seven batters, walked two and allowed two hits. He improved to 4-3 with a 1.66 ERA in 10 starts this season.

Right fielder Josh Bell, the Pirates' No. 6 prospect and No. 61 overall, drove in the game's lone run in the third inning. He finished the game 1-for-2 with a walk, improving his batting average to .327 in 66 games this season.

Relievers Josh Smith and Bryton Trepagnier combined for three hitless innings, preserving the two-hit shutout. Jupiter has been held to no runs on three hits in its past two games, after coming within one out of being no-hit Tuesday night by Palm Beach.

Glasnow's string of scoreless starts dates back to May 28 and totals 21 2/3 innings. During the streak, he has struck out 30 batters and walked 10.

Glasnow injured his back during Spring Training, delaying his start to the season by almost a month. But since he returned to action April 25, he has been dominant. He has struck out 55 and walked 30 in 48 2/3 innings. Because of the time he missed, he still hasn't thrown enough innings to qualify for the Florida State League ERA title. If he did, his mark of 1.66 would rank second.
