The Pittsburgh Pirates and Pirates Charities, the philanthropic arm of the Pirates, announced today an opportunity for fans to become involved in the 2013 Pirates Charities CARE-a-van spirit of giving. This week, as Pirates players, coaches and broadcasters take to the road to make a difference in the greater Pittsburgh area and surrounding communities, the team is asking fans to donate to Pirates Charities.
In addition to supporting Pirates Charities, each donation will enter fans in an opportunity for one of two exclusive autograph sessions at the 2013 PirateFest.
Fans who make a donation as little as $10 to Pirates Charities at pirates.com/CAREavanDonations between NOW and Friday, December 13, 2013 at 8 p.m. will be entered to win TWO passes to an exclusive autograph signing at PirateFest with either National League MVP Andrew McCutchen OR N.L. Manager of the Year Clint Hurdle. In addition, fans can register on-site at the Pirates Charities booth at the 2013 PirateFest on Saturday, December 14.
A total of FORTY (40) random winners will be chosen for each autograph session, and each winner will be permitted to bring one guest. That means a total of 160 winners.
With each $10 donation to Pirates Charities fans will receive one entry to win an invite to either the McCutchen or Hurdle exclusive autograph sessions. Meaning, a $100 donation to Pirates Charities will give a fan 10 entries or 20 chances to win. All the proceeds benefit Pirates Charities.
