Pirates sign 10 players from 2013 Draft

The Pittsburgh Pirates today signed the following players from the 2013 First-Year Player Draft. The announcement was made by Joe DelliCarri, Pirates Director of Scouting.

Went 9-5 with a 4.26 ERA (95.0ip/45er) and 91 strikeouts in 18 appearances (15 starts) as a junior this year at Sam Hous- ton State University; his 91 strikeouts were the fifth-most in school history in a single season…Compiled a 17-11 record in three-year career at Sam Houston…Ended 2013 with a 28.0 inning scoreless streak, the longest in school history at the Division I level and second-longest ever.
