Pirates trade McDonald to Cleveland


The Pittsburgh Pirates today recalled infielder John McDonald from his rehab assignment from Triple-A Indianapolis, reinstated him from the 15-day disabled list and traded him to the Cleveland Indians for a player to be named or cash considerations.

The announcement was made by Pirates Senior Vice President, General Manager Neal Huntington.
