Ken Burns, a documentary filmmaker for PBS, threw out Sunday's ceremonial first pitch at PNC Park. Burns traveled to Pittsburgh as part of a promotional tour for his upcoming "Baseball: The Tenth Inning" documentary, which will air in late September. This documentary is an addition to Burns' popular "Baseball" series that premiered in 1994. ... The Cardinals' rotation for their series in Pittsburgh that begins on Monday lines up with right-handers Kyle Lohse, Adam Wainwright and Jake Westbrook. ... Minor League left-hander Rudy Owens picked up his 10th win of the season with a five-inning outing on Saturday. Owens, 10-4 with Double-A Altoona, struck out six in the affair. His 2.67 ERA ranks second in the Eastern League. Owens is third in the league with 118 strikeouts.
